The Spring Fair always takes place the first weekend after Easter.
The Arboricultural Fair is held on the second Saturday in May.
The Spring Fair dates back to the beginning of time and corresponds with the revival of nature. In 1913 the first contemporary fair was established with a new president each year. The shopkeepers and the inhabitants of different areas design floats and a song is written each year for the fair. The fair was abandonned in 1956 and reintroduced by M. LAPAIX, Mayor at that time, in 1964. The status of the Fair Committees is established and the floats are designed by the clubs, local teenagers and inhabitants of the district. This system is still in place. The fair lasts three days

Saturday :
Village dance

Sunday :
11 h Concert and apperitif (pogne and white wine) to assemble the inhabitants of Chateauneuf and the local and regional councellors
15 h The procession of decorated floats animated by the different clubs and three youth classes
18 h Concert in the church square

Monday :
11 h Visit to the neighbours in Beaumont-Monteux
13 h General banquet
21 h Village dance

A funfair lasts the three days.

The Aboricultural Fair was established as the result of an idea of the present president during a meeting of the farmers unions to discuss ways of injecting enthusiasm into the local community.
The idea was taken up some time later by the Mayor at that time M. REBATTET. The first fair was held on Saturday 21st May 1994.
Everything connected with arboriculture is presented, from the plantation to the to the dispatching of the fruit: Nurseries, pollination, soil and orchard upkeep, disinfection, fertilizers and pesticides, agricultural equipment, weighing, irrigation, frost fighting, cold rooms, grading, handling equipment, utilitary vehicles, fruit gathering equipment, tyres, packaging, printing on wood and on cardboard, computer systems, management centres, banks, job centres... Other regional products are now integrated with the arboroculture, viticulture and flowers... An arrangement with the local resturants enables visiters to eat out at a reduced fair price.
