Objectives
We want to adapt our community to the 21st century by the redevelopment of the village which started in 1996. In 2000 the development expand to the extension of the school complex and the construction of a gymnasium.
The year 2002-2003 will see the creation of a "village centre", a new library, improvement of the church square, the restoration of the church, and a new day nursery. The objective fixed by the Town Council puts the priority on investment whilst managing in the best possible way the running and development of the district.

Twinning
Chateauneuf sur Isère is twinned with Nierderrieden . Nierderrieden, a pastoral community situated to the west of Baviere between Memmingen and Mindelheim (12 miles), has a population of 1000 inhabitants. The official signature took place in Chateauneuf in September 1992 and in May 1993 in Nierderrieden. Nierderrieden and Chateauneuf are both members of the CCRE (European regional advice board), an official organisation of the European Community. The twinning will encourage exchanges and human, sport, culturel and professional contacts.
